Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes from Top Food Bloggers

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just in a couple of weeks already? It seems like we were just basking in the summer weather and planning last-minute getaways for Labor Day. Time always seems to fly toward the end of the year, but even if you haven't planned out your Thanksgiving feast yet, we've got you covered!

We compiled this list of a few of our favorite healthy Thanksgiving recipes from top bloggers to give you some ideas for Thanksgiving Thursday. We hope you make something scrumptious!

Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a fan favorite at Thanksgiving dinners. The perfect way they go with your turkey (or tofurkey), and their creamy butteriness is loved by many. Unfortunately, mashed potatoes, especially when they have a ton of cream and butter aren't the healthiest for you.

A Sweet Pea Chef put together a recipe that gives you the much healthier option of cauliflower mashed potatoes. We love how versatile cauliflower can be when it comes to vegan or plant-based diets. From cauliflower rice to mashed potatoes, there's a lot you can do with this vegetable.

And apparently, these mashed potatoes taste just the like the real thing! Get the recipe here

Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Cranberries are great for you and delicious too, but canned cranberry sauce can be hit or miss at the Thanksgiving table. There's usually a lot of added sugar and fat that goes into the product and it's hard to get rid of that "can-like" flavor sometimes.

Homemade cranberry sauce is not too time-consuming to make and it's the perfect alternative to know exactly what's going into your sauce. Oh, My Veggies has a fantastic ginger orange homemade cranberry sauce recipe that will blow your socks off.

The secret ingredient in this recipe? GINGER BEER! Yum! A perfect unique and tasty fall addition to any Thanksgiving cranberry sauce. Get the recipe here

Mushroom & Kale Lasagna

It's fine if you want to make a traditional turkey, but if you're hosting a big dinner where you know there will be different diets around the table, make sure there's a healthy vegetarian option too!

Tofurkey is always an option although it can be a bit on the processed side and only tasty to some. Instead of trying to make the vegetarian option taste like meat, why not make something else altogether? We loved this creamy mushroom and kale lasagna from Oh My Veggies.

The recipe doesn't take too long to put together but it is all kinds of deliciousness. Who said Thanksgiving had to be just about the turkey? This main is sure to be the biggest crowd pleaser at the table. Get the recipe here

Vegan Banana Bread

And lastly, we couldn't leave you hanging without the option for a healthy vegan dessert as well! Oh, She Glows has a fantastic Vegan Banana Bread recipe that is a perfect fall classic to add to the Thanksgiving table. Add in some coconut or almond milk ice cream and you'll be sorted.
