Does anyone else love a good start to the year? The feeling of sipping on a ton of nutrients in one gulp of fresh juice or, my personal favorite, a green smoothie? There’s something so clean and fresh about the beginning of the year, the crispness of January. Why shouldn’t you be clean, fresh, and rejuvenated too?

 

There are so many green smoothie recipes out there, that we decided to narrow it down to our 5 favorites for a fun little January challenge for you all, although this can, of course, is done at any time of the year.

Our favorite for obvious reasons, this papaya green smoothies is velvety, smooth, and most importantly, extremely tasty! This easy recipe has all the fixings for a tropical getaway. Regardless if you're soaking up the rays of sun in Fiji or watching the snow fall in rural New Hampshire, this smoothie will take you on a one-way ticket to the tropics! Break out the flip-flops and the papaya and indulge in this healthy tropical treat.

The aspect I love about this recipe is that it includes matcha powder, which is not only a very tasty addition but one that has health benefits too - including an energy boost.

This one feels like a decadent treat when in reality it's still just a healthy green smoothie with the right attitude. I guess it shouldn't have come as a surprise from Taylor, who is constantly coming out with such creative recipes on Food Faith Fitness. What's great about this smoothie is how incredibly smooth it is, with the avocado and greek yogurt, it's almost as if you're drinking a milkshake. You could pretty much have this at any time of the day.
